Set of 2 antique Auto Strop Safety Razors
These safety razors were the first of their kind, patented in 1912 by Henry Jacques Gaisman and sold by Auto Strop Safety Razors. After Gillette bought out Auto Strop, Mr. Gaisman eventually went on to become the leader of the Gillette razor company.
These vintage razors are in remarkably good condition with some very slight tarnishing. There is a small rectangle on each razor that is able to be engraved (not included). They measure roughly 2 1/4 inches in length and have a small metal ring that can attach to a key ring. There are marked "Auto Strop Safety Razor Co. New York London Toronto" on one side and "Valet Auto Strop Utility Knife" on the other. The blade is has "VALET" stamped out.
These razors are over 100 years old and would make a perfect gift for any collector.
