Thirteen Days: A Memoir of the Cuban Missile Crisis
by Robert F. Kennedy
Published 1969 by W.W Norton & Company
First Edition, First Printing
"On Tuesday morning, October 16,1962, shortly after nine o'clock President Kennedy called and asked me to come to the White House. He said only that we were facing great trouble. Shortly afterward, in his office he told me that a U-2 had just finished a photographic mission and that the intelligence community had become convinced that Russia was placing missiles and atomic weapons in Cuba."
This rare first printing, first edition is in good condition for its age. The dust jacket is present, with a little wear and tear. The blue hardcover has a bit of discoloration in the corner. However the pages and text are near mint. To tell this is a true first printing, there are some misspellings. On page 133 in the caption, Townley Smith should be Bromley Smith. On page 138, Sorenson should be spelled Sorensen. Please see photos for more accurate representation of condition.
