The Illustrated Fanny Hill
Published 1978

Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure—popularly known as Fanny Hill —is an erotic novel by English novelist John Cleland first published in London in 1748. In 1821 a Massachusetts court banned the book for obscene and lewd content. In a landmark decision in 1966, the United States Supreme Court ruled in Memoirs v. Massachusetts that Fanny Hill did not meet the Roth standard for obscenity. This 1978 edition is filled with erotic illustrated depictions of the scenes taking place throughout this notoriously controversial book.

This large hardcover book is a little worn around the edges and has some spots of discoloration but the pages, text and illustrations are in fairly good condition. Please see photos for more accurate representation of condition. However, please be aware that some of the pictures listed do show illustrations that would be inappropriate for children.
